Wind energy

Since 1983, ABT has been a pioneer in foundation designs for wind turbines. One of our first projects was the Newecs45 prototype wind turbine in Medemblik (1985), which, with a capacity of 1 MW, was the largest wind turbine in the world. The standard wind turbine today has a capacity of 5 MW, and experiments are already being conducted with capacities of 15 MW. Since 2019, ABT subsidiary Windbase has been carrying out all wind energy activities.
