Introduction
Early on, both my grandfathers and father sparked my interest in construction and engineering. Always tinkering, building things and creating something. So studying architecture was a logical decision. After completing technical college and university TU/e, I started as an architectural engineer for an architectural firm. The organizational side of projects appealed to me and after four years I switched to design and project management. This gave with the opportunity to start directing from a technical standpoint. Over the past fifteen years, I have worked in residential, commercial, sports and healthcare projects in both the public and private sectors. I have extensive experience in all project phases from initiative to commissioning. I seem to get drawn to somewhat more complex projects.
What I do at ABT
As a consultant at ABT, I work with the team in projects to create the optimal balance between the aspects of people, process and content. It is overall project direction, without losing sight of details. In my approach, I like structure, I am proactive, focused, empathetic and above all dedicated to getting things done!
Also, I am head of the knowledge group Integral Creating. From the knowledge group, we carry our vision of integrated project collaboration.
My dream for the future
ABT has an integral work approach and a fascination with all aspects involved in design and construction. We look beyond the thresholds of our own disciplines and consider the task from a holistic perspective. By working with strong partners with the same vision, we can approach projects with a wealth of knowledge and experience. As a team we keep each other on our toes. I never stop learning and that is motivating.
