“I want to continue contributing to groundbreaking and inspiring projects, where my expertise in building physics, acoustics, fire safety, and building installations continues to play a valuable role.”

Introduction

My name is Ad van der Aa. With a career spanning 30 years in the advisory field of building physics, acoustics, fire safety, and building installations, I decided to take on a new challenge in 2013. My career began as a technical employee at Cauberg-Huygen in 1985 and gradually evolved to technical director at the same organization.

What I do at ABT

At ABT, I had the opportunity to work in an organization where multidisciplinary and integral working are central. My days are filled with challenging projects and involvement in national and international research in the field of energy efficiency. Additionally, I serve as the chairman of the Dutch Flemish Building Physics Association.

My dream for the future

My dream for the future is to continue building a top team in a multidisciplinary environment with my colleagues at ABT. I want to keep contributing to groundbreaking and inspiring projects, where my expertise in building physics, acoustics, fire safety, and building installations continues to play a valuable role. As chairman of the Dutch Flemish Building Physics Association, I strive to have a positive impact on the field at national level as well.
