Depot Boijmans van Beuningen
In November 2021, His Majesty the King opened the Valhalla of Art and Collection Management: Boijmans van Beuningen Depot. All 151,000 objects accessible to the public in one location and under one roof. A world first! Our façade consultants assisted MVRDV to find the best construction method for the spectacular façade. In addition, we supported the structural engineering of the entire building.

Forum Groningen
Forum Groningen is an iconic cultural complex consisting of eleven floors. Below the building is a five basement parking garage consisting of approximately four hundred parking spaces and 1,500 bicycle parking spaces. ABT played an important role in realizing the principles of the architectural concept.

A multifunctional building with a highly innovative residential concept. Jonas is a sustainability icon in IJburg. The project is a development by Amvest, designed by Orange Architects in collaboration with ABT and Felixx Landscape Architects and Planners. It was realized by Ballast Nedam West. ABT took care of the integral technical design.

Renovation of the Binnenhof
The large-scale renovation of the Binnenhof, home of the Dutch parliament is underway. The heart of our democracy is being adapted to the demands of the new era. Commissioned by the Central Government Real Estate Agency, ABT is providing the structural, geotechnical and engineering design for the building parts of the Council of State, and the structural and geotechnical design for the building parts of the Senate.

Shell campus: sustainability and renovation C30
The C30 building is a national monument of 25,000m² GLA. The original building dates back to 1916, the extensions to 1928 and 1929. Originally part of Shell's headquarters, it is now part of the Shell Campus The Hague. Between 2018 and 2022, the building was renovated and made more sustainable. An intensive process requiring a high level of ambition. Throughout the implementation process, ABT served as Architect of Record for Shell.

In The Natural Pavilion, ABT and a consortium of nearly 20 Dutch companies have shown that it is possible to build fully circular, bio-based, energy-neutral houses, schools and offices on an industrial scale and in close connection with nature.

The museum in Amsterdam consists of the renovated memorial monument, the Hollandsche Schouwburg, and the transformed Reformed Teacher Training College. Concrete innovations at Prologis warehouses
To drastically reduce the environmental impact of buildings, innovation in concrete is essential. At the Prologis warehouses in Tilburg and Waalwijk, ABT has been involved as a concrete specialist, and we have realized high-quality floors incorporating sustainable concrete innovations. Currently, we are preparing projects for Prologis that involve shrinkage-reducing technology and geopolymer concrete.

The majestic building De Droogbak is a real eye-catcher. It is also situated in an absolute prime location, directly west of Amsterdam’s Central Station. This beautiful 19th-century office building underwent a remarkable makeover in just a year and a half. ABT provided comprehensive construction and technical advice.
WRZV sports halls
WRZV sports halls
Maximal circularity and sustainability, and the lowest possible environmental impact. These were the goals during the development of the WRZV sports halls. ABT, commissioned by the municipality of Zwolle, worked with an integrated team on these sports halls. The team included experts in structural engineering, geotechnics, building services, building physics, and fire safety. During the execution, ABT conducted various quality inspections.

The renovation of the Ca-building was complex in several ways: due to the existing infrastructure, the phased renovation where the building remained partially in use 24/7, and its constrained location. ABT was involved as a technical designer from the design phase through specifications and tendering. Additionally, we played the role of construction manager and principal supervisor from execution preparation to completion and aftercare.

Fenixloodsen Rotterdam Katendrecht
In the Rotterdam district of Katendrecht, along the Rijnhaven, you’ll find the Fenixloodsen. Around 1920, these were the largest harbor storage warehouses in the world. On behalf of Heijmans Vastgoed B.V., Mei architects and planners developed a mixed program of residential units, educational facilities, retail, and a parking garage within and above Fenixloodsen.
Houtlab Nieuwkuijk
Houtlab Nieuwkuijk
Houtlab is a wooden building with a Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) load-bearing structure, located along the A59. It is a sustainable, circular, and inspiring production and office space where collaboration is key. Our sister company, Adviesbureau Lüning, was responsible for the construction design. ABT provided the building physics, acoustics, fire safety, and installation engineering consultancy.
Sportcampus Zuiderpark
Sportcampus Zuiderpark
On the site of the former ADO Den Haag football stadium, the Sportcampus Zuiderpark has been built. The building includes, among other things, a top sports hall, a double-width sports hall, a gymnastics hall, and classrooms for The Hague University of Applied Sciences and ROC Mondriaan.
The Mauritshuis
The Mauritshuis
The Mauritshuis, with its paintings such as Johannes Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring and Rembrandt’s The Anatomy Lesson, is a major tourist attraction in The Hague. Commissioned by the Royal Cabinet of Paintings Mauritshuis The Hague Foundation, Hans van Heeswijk Architects designed a spacious underground entrance hall that connects the Mauritshuis with the building opposite on the Plein.
